Develop Your Business Plan

OVERVIEW:  Your Business Plan is very much your flight plan.  It identifies clearly where you want to go, the specific route that you anticipate taking, the amount of fuel (capital) that your plan is going to require, checkpoints along the way to compare your plan to actual performance.

NEW PEOPLE COME WITH VARYING SKILLS-BACKGROUNDS-ABILITIES:  All of us that join EcoQuest come from different backgrounds and life experiences.  Some come with a life experience of working in people situations; guiding, mentoring, teaching, training and mentoring. Some come with a life experience of sales and marketing, some with strong technical and computer skills.  Some come with sufficient capital to build a business immediately and some come stone broke and in need of company financing.  Some come with perfect financial credentials and credit and some come with their financial affairs a total mess.  Some come from high paying, already successful careers and are hoping to find an exciting new experience in life to over deep boredom.  You will find the TOP LEADERS IN ECOQUEST ALL HAVE COME FROM THESE VARYING WALKS OF LIFE. 

ONE PLAN DOES NOT FIT ALL:  Everyone that joins EcoQuest will do better if their team leaders concentrate on formulating a business plan that meets the background, abilities and capabilities of their life experience.  

EACH PLAN MUST BE CREATED FOR EACH NEW PERSON:  It is not possiblE to formulate a plan that fits all, however there are some basics that should be included in most all plans:

QUESTIONS TO ASK:

  • Financial capability?

  • Credit capability?

  • Financial goals?

  • Time availability?

  • Career Path?

  • Most significant achievements?

  • Understanding of the word commitment?

  • Willingness to set a goal and not quit?

  • Prefer selling products over recruiting?

  • Prefer recruiting over selling?

  • Prefer doing both?

  • Willingness to follow a path-being coachable?

FROM THIS INTERVIEW A PLAN CAN BE FORMULATED:

AN EXAMPLE PLAN - SAY FOR A SCHOOL TEACHER:  First of all you can complement your school teacher as teachers have historically been the most successful in this industry.  Why?  They are use to teaching, mentoring, guiding and helping others.  It has been their life.   Let's say our teacher would like to continue teaching for another 10 years but would like to add an additional $1,000-$2,000 a month to the family budget.

  • Place Personal Unit

  • Sign up as new Business Owner

  • Have Business Plan Development Meeting with your teacher

  • Go over Compensation plan so she recognizes need to be positioned up the ladder

  • Probably has good credit so recommend a Master Pack for positioning, 12% earnings on her team and good pricing.

  • Start on the Getting Started Training Checklist

  • Do warm market list of 100

  • Set date and goal for making Fast Start Distributor

  • Set date for making Executive Manager

  • Plan on Private Small Group Presentation or Success Pack Party

  • Schedule events for next 60 days with her
